01 FCL or LCL
Your own box, or a share of one.
A full container load (FCL) is yours alone, sealed at your door. Less than container load (LCL) shares a box with other shippers, and you pay only for the space you use. Switch to see the difference.
Full container load
You book a whole 20′ or 40′ container. We deliver the empty to your door or you load at our dock, then it is sealed and goes straight to the terminal.
- Charged by
- Per container
- Best for
- About 15 m³ and up, or high-value cargo
- Handling
- Loaded once, opened at destination
- Transit
- Fastest: straight to the vessel
Less than container load
You drop pallets or cartons at our Pulau Indah CFS. We consolidate them with other shippers' cargo for the same port and devan at destination.
- Charged by
- Per W/M, minimum 1
- Best for
- About 1 to 13 m³
- Handling
- Packed and unpacked at CFS
- Transit
- Add 2–4 days for consolidation
02 Container guide
Pick the box that fits the cargo.
Seven containers cover almost every shipment we book. Choose one to see its proportions against a 40′ high cube, with inside dimensions, door opening, capacity and payload.
- Inside L × W × H
- 12.03 × 2.35 × 2.69 m
- Door opening W × H
- 2.34 × 2.58 m
- Capacity
- 76.4 m³
- Max payload
- 28,750 kg
- Tare
- 3,750 kg
Typical uses
Light, bulky cargo: furniture, mattresses, e-commerce stock, foam and plastics. The extra 30 cm of height often fits one more layer.
Typical figures. Every container's own limits are on its CSC plate and doors; road weight limits in Malaysia can cap the payload before the box does.
03 LCL calculator
How much box are you paying for?
LCL is charged per revenue ton (W/M): the greater of cubic metres or tonnes, minimum 1. Enter your cargo to see your W/M and how much of a 20′ or 40′ high cube it would fill.

06 How it works
From booking to your dock.
An FCL export from Port Klang, day by day. D is the sailing date; LCL swaps the empty pick-up for a drop-off at our CFS.
Booking
Space confirmed with the carrier; booking number and cut-offs sent to you.
Empty pick-up or CFS
Empty container to your door, or cargo dropped at our Pulau Indah CFS for LCL.
Export clearance
K2 declaration lodged and released; permits checked against the HS code.
Gate-in & loading
Laden container gated in before the CY cut-off, VGM filed, loaded on board.
Sailing
Vessel departs; bill of lading issued and tracked by our command centre.
Arrival
Discharged at the destination terminal; arrival notice to you and the consignee.
Import clearance
Customs entry by our partner, duties settled, container released.
Delivery
Trucked to the consignee, unloaded, empty returned inside free time.
07 Incoterms quick guide
Who pays, and when the risk moves.
Incoterms® 2020 rules set where the seller's costs and risks end and the buyer's begin. Open a rule to see both on the journey.
The seller makes the goods available at its own premises, not loaded. The buyer handles loading, export clearance, freight, insurance and import, and carries the risk from that moment.
Export clearance BuyerMain freight BuyerImport clearance Buyer
The seller clears export and hands the goods to the buyer's carrier at a named place, such as its own warehouse or our CFS. Risk passes on that hand-over. It suits containers better than FOB, because a container is handed over before it is loaded on the ship.
Export clearance SellerMain freight BuyerImport clearance Buyer
The seller clears export and delivers the goods on board the vessel at the named port of shipment. Risk passes once the goods are on board, and the buyer pays the ocean freight. Sea freight only.
Export clearance SellerMain freight BuyerImport clearance Buyer
The seller clears export and pays the freight to the destination port, but the risk passes when the goods are on board at origin. If the cargo is damaged at sea, the buyer claims, so the buyer usually insures. Sea freight only.
Export clearance SellerMain freight SellerImport clearance Buyer
As CFR, and the seller also buys cargo insurance to the destination port, at least Institute Cargo Clauses (C) cover. Risk still passes on board at origin. Sea freight only.
Export clearance SellerMain freight SellerInsurance SellerImport clearance Buyer
The seller delivers to the named place at destination, ready for unloading, and carries the risk until then. The buyer unloads, clears import and pays the duties and taxes.

As DAP, but the seller also unloads at the named place: the only Incoterms rule that makes the seller unload. The buyer clears import.
Export clearance SellerMain freight SellerImport clearance Buyer
The seller delivers to the named place cleared for import, with duties and taxes paid, ready for unloading. The most work for the seller, who must be able to clear customs in the buyer's country.

Incoterms® is a trademark of the International Chamber of Commerce. CPT and CIP are the any-mode versions of CFR and CIF (CIP needs wider, Clauses A cover). Your sales contract decides which rule applies; this is a guide, not legal advice.
Demurrage is charged by the shipping line when a full container stays in the port terminal beyond its free days. Detention is charged when you keep the line's container outside the terminal, for example at your warehouse, beyond its free days. Free days and rates vary by carrier and port, and we list them on every quote.
Yes. LCL is charged per revenue ton (W/M), the greater of the volume in cubic metres or the weight in tonnes, with a minimum of 1 W/M per shipment. Origin and destination charges are added per shipment.
As a rule of thumb, from about 13 to 15 CBM a 20-foot container often costs about the same as LCL and is faster, with less handling. Every quote we send compares both.
Yes. We book 20- and 40-foot reefers that hold a set point between −30 °C and +30 °C, pre-trip inspected and plugged in at the terminal, with temperature records for the voyage. Tell us the set point and ventilation when you book.
For export: a commercial invoice, a packing list and the export declaration (K2), which we lodge for you, plus a certificate of origin or permit if your goods need one. We issue the bill of lading or sea waybill once the vessel sails.
Carrier liability under a bill of lading is limited, and general average can make every cargo owner on board share a loss. We recommend marine cargo insurance, which we can arrange when you book.
Port to port: Singapore 1–2 days, Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh City about 4, Hong Kong 6, Shanghai 9 and Rotterdam 26–28 days from Tanjung Pelepas. Allow extra days for cut-offs, clearance and delivery. These are demo transit times.
