01The run sheet

What you'll learn, minute by minute

Six segments, one live demo and a real Q&A. No filler and no forty-minute founder story.

  1. E-invoicing in plain English

What actually changes for an SME, what stays the same, and the handful of terms you'll keep hearing: MyInvois, TIN, validation, the QR code and the unique identifier.

    Talk · NH
  2. Your readiness check

The information to gather before you touch any system: your own tax and registration details, your customers' details, and the invoice types you issue today.

    Worksheet · NH
  3. Live demo: your first invoice on the MyInvois Portal

Screen-shared, step by step: logging in, creating an e-invoice by hand, checking its validation status, then issuing a credit note.

    Live demo · DT
  4. Portal, API or accounting software?

How to pick the right route for your invoice volume and team, what to ask your software vendor, and the honest trade-offs of each option.

    Talk · DT
  5. The tricky cases

Walk-in customers, consolidated e-invoices, self-billed invoices, cancellations and corrections, with examples from real Malaysian SMEs.

    Cases · NH
  6. Live Q&A

Your questions, answered on air for as long as time allows. In the final 2 minutes we mention our paid course. That's the only pitch.

    Q&A · NH + DT
  7. Wrap. The replay, slides and checklist land in your inbox.

Who it's for, and who should skip it

We'd rather you spend the evening well. Here's who gets the most out of it.

Come along if you're…

  • An SME owner who issues invoices and wants to know exactly what changes
  • The finance or admin person who will actually press "submit"
  • A bookkeeper or accountant looking after several small clients
  • Anyone who has heard "MyInvois" in a meeting and quietly panicked

Skip it if you…

  • Need advice on your own tax position. That's a job for your tax agent.
  • Want developer-level API documentation. We cover the API at a high level only.
  • Have been issuing e-invoices smoothly for months already.

500 seats, so every question gets a real answer.

Nurul Huda Kamarudin

Founder and lead trainer

Chartered accountant who spent 14 years in audit and SME advisory in Kuala Lumpur before turning to training. She has helped more than 300 small businesses prepare for e-invoicing, and is known for explaining tax admin without the jargon.

Leads 27:00 and 45:00

Daniel Tan Wei Ming

Finance-systems lead

Former finance-systems consultant who has connected accounting software to MyInvois for retailers, clinics and distributors across the Klang Valley. He runs the live portal demo and happily takes the "what if my system can't…" questions.

04For attendees

Both are free, and both are yours even if you never buy anything from us.

  1. The 24-point e-invoice readiness checklist

A printable 6-page PDF: the details to collect from customers, the settings to check in your accounting software, and who in your team owns which step. Emailed to live attendees right after the session.

  2. The full recording and slides

Every registrant gets the replay within 24 hours, whether or not you made it live. Watch it at your own pace for 14 days and share the slides with your team.

What the last cohort said

Comments from attendees of our August 2026 masterclass, shared with permission.

I'd put it off for months. Ninety minutes later I had a list, a plan, and my first invoice validated on the portal the next morning.

Siti Aminah YusofOwner, Aminah Bakes, Shah Alam

Clear, no jargon, and they actually answered the awkward questions about walk-in customers.

Rajesh KumarAccounts executive, hardware distributor, Klang

The checklist alone was worth the evening. I sent it to all four of my bookkeeping clients the next day.

06FAQ

Straight answers before you sign up

Still unsure about something? A real person from our KL team replies on WhatsApp, usually within the hour.

Ask a question on WhatsApp
Is the webinar really free?

Yes. There's no fee to register or attend, and we never ask for card details. We run free sessions because some attendees later choose to join our paid courses.

Will there be a recording?

Yes. Everyone who registers gets the replay link by email within 24 hours, whether or not they attended live. The replay stays online for 14 days.

Do I need accounting knowledge to follow along?

No. If you can read an invoice, you can follow this session. We explain each term the first time it comes up, and finance staff will still pick up plenty of practical detail.

Do I get a certificate or CPD hours?

Live attendees who stay to the end receive a certificate of attendance by email. Whether it counts towards CPD hours depends on your professional body, so please check with them first; we can't promise CPD recognition.

Which platform is it on?

Zoom. Join from the Zoom app or a web browser on a laptop, tablet or phone. Your camera and microphone stay off, and you can type questions into the Zoom question box at any time.

Will you try to sell me something?

Briefly, and we'll tell you when. In the last 2 minutes we mention our paid e-invoicing course. Everything before that is pure teaching, and the replay and checklist are yours either way.

Is this official LHDN guidance?

No. Ledgerline Academy is an independent training provider and is not affiliated with LHDN. Rules, phases and deadlines can change, so always check LHDN's latest guidance on the official MyInvois website before you act.

Can I bring a colleague?

Yes, please do. Each person should register with their own email so they get their own Zoom link, reminders, replay and certificate.
